Price gouging - wait for REAL sale
The devs increased the price before the sale, so that it now shows 20% off, although it is the old price. People interested in the game are advised to wait for a real sale.

IIRC we tweaked some regional prices earlier this year, and there was of course the switchover of all Steam games in Argentina and Turkey from their local currencies to USD, which *was* a price increase in those countries. But otherwise, the base price of Cosmoteer (before any discounts) has always been $19.99 USD/EUR. We have never increased the price except for those regional tweaks and Argentina/Turkey.

Technically you can *decrease* the price and still do a discount within 30 days, but otherwise you're correct.

Uh, nope. Same price it's always been.[isthereanydeal.com]

The sale has been a bit more off each time. started at 10%, then 15% (when I purchased it), and now 20%.

i remember dev ask us to buy game as soon as possible to increase sale. following after that content draught.

i cant trust this dev. even most roadmap are fulfilled by modders.

campaign still barebones after 1 year release. and this game is half decades old.

well for one Walt was working on the game for years for free to build up a community, cant blame him for asking, plus he never demanded of anything
second the first half of the year was walt focusing on making the game run smothly in MP removing many dysinc issues and fixing bugs, plus he has stated that content has been slower then hes been hoping but hopes to start pushing things out sooner beging of next year
and third moders cant even do half of the things on the roadmap, all mods can do is add new parts that are just value changes of existing ones or increase the amount of missions that are already in the game, and even if its something like what my mod does in adding "docking" its only half backed garbage because of the jank, moders dont have to worry about the things the Devs do when it comes to addding parts

The price never increased, look at the game on Steamdb and you'll see it never went up.
