One thing that might cause this is how you're testing the chain reaction; a little-known fact about prisms is that they explode, *scaling* with the power of the ion they're firing. Testing the chain reaction with all ions firing could behave differently than testing the same chain reaction with, lets say half of the ions disabled.
its just that if something catches fire it would chain react through... but i guess its crazy RNG then, or some "bug" maybe. as after reloading the setup it didnt burn anymore even without the extinguishers... no clue whats causing this though...
and yeah, i tested the setup with active prisms, as its the state they´re usually in when something goes haywire. without active prisms the thing is chain react proof anyway. i even shuffled the whole thing around 50+ times with small armor blocks inbetween to dampen the explosions... of which i still think large reactors and prisms of a certain ion-load have a bit to much of...
makes building large ships that "need" large reactors and a lot of close by prisms a pain in the xxx =).
but thanks for the confirmation that RNG still messes with me a lot =P.
