How to get rid of ammo in storage?
I tried to transfer ammo to another ship, selling it at the station or to just throw it out the hatch. But as soon as somebody starts removing the ammo, somebody else is starting to resupply the same spot in storage again.

I simply want to get rid of it.

The only save way I found was to shut down the ammo factory. That way only what is in the ammo factories storage gets resupplied to storage (which I have to get rid of again), but then I'm free of it.

Is there a better way?

No, and it suck. And it was also talked about the in one of the previous post about ammo ( https://steamcommunity.com/app/799600/discussions/0/3714937078831636485/ )
tl;dr stop the production, sell all, restart production. And don't stock ammunition to feed turret, put prodcution factory next to it and feed sulfur instead (take less space, doesn't explode)

Best thing to do is to setup a designated spot for a specific resource, if i remember correctly once you designate a specific spot for a resource they won't produce more than can fit in those spots.

When you sell you will be selling designated spot first, that include spot in the factory itself (the output slot).

So if you have a designated stock of 800 ammo and 240 ammo stocked in factory, as long as you sell 1040 or less you will never get rid of any excess in random storage you loot (until you run out of sulfur).

Also, factory stop producing once it's full and only get emptied if a turret require ammo (since it works like a designated storage), or if you set it to chain haul to a storage or design storage for this item. So not having any storage setup for ammo is the best solution ATM (less space required, less explosion, less work overall)

Setup a Supply Chain :
Sulfur -> Ammo Factory -> Ammo Storage -> Weapon
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2898902554
Designate the storage first (sulfur and ammo), then create the chain. In my screenshot, I have a Supply Storage (6) for ammo, holds 120 rounds. The factory will produce 140 rounds because 20 rounds are sitting in the factory waiting to get forced to storage, but since the storage is full then production stops.

I have no problems with over production. Hope that helps.
