And if you can rotate enemy ships with it, it'll be powerful af.
This game is really strange.
Power is hand carried in space age?
Hand carrier Space loots and ore? Strange logic
Yup. Kind of expensive for that use, though. Also, you can use a structure cage to do the same thing (though admittedly, the cage and the wreckreally screws up your flight characteristics, while the tractor beam seems to have *much* less effect on your ship's flight characteristics).
Rotating ships using Tractor beams (they can be set to push, or pull) is a meta multiplayer tactic. Tricky to do, be very effective.
This tractor beam is so huge. Waste of space.
It's a tractor beam. Just like the star trek tractor beam. I think your confusing star trek tractor beams with star trek transporters................
Tractor beams are useful if you have multiples on board. like a set of 2 or a set of 4. because alone they are not very powerful. with multiple ones you get ot be more efective. and you can play with a mix of push pulls settings acros multiple beam to set how far you can keep tractored objects...
As for the batteries, I like to imagine the reactors are catching anti matter and placing them in special canisters because it's the only way to move anti matter.
Mm, the tractor beam blocks are already pretty huge. I tried towing a ship, the second my tow-er moved it lost "link" to the towee. Wasn't even a whole ship, just a fragment of one, and not *that* big a ship...
is there a useful ratio of ship size to tractors needed?
