Pool resources to build starports that build over time in a system, destroy and build your own starport to conquer that system. Build sensors to detect where players are and any incoming fleets. If coop is working, the network connection is there, shouldn't be much of a leap to make it.
You can do both ya know.
is starsector planning for multiplayer? that'd be news to me (great news mind you)
Balance - Already addressed, the prior game had many tweaks to make ships balanced in pvp. Yes if your last ship and station gets destroyed, you lose the game. That doesn't mean you can't build other ships, and use them. I don't see how this is difficult to do or understand.
Yeah starsector is a good one, been recently playing it, unfortunatly it's missing so much that the mods address.
Destruction in career mode DOES mean EXACTLY that. If you lose your last ship, you're done, so introducing PvP into co-op career turns it from career gameplay into deathmatch gameplay. The goal becomes not to just play and enjoy and explore but to defeat the other player, which will END the game for the other player.
So? You can make it so you spawn back at a base and grab another ship. What are you not getting? Career mode is GOING to be different to pvp. THATS THE POINT OF PVP.
This guy gets it.
but i'd give it 50/50 on some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ modding it in within 3 years of 1.0
