EDIT: ah, here we go. https://waltdestler.com/
Excellent, thank you! Very interesting - we might come back to these.
No one wants to hear. I'm sorry I wasn't aware it was my job to entertain you. How about you fire me and click that little BLOCK/IGNORE button, there friendo. Anyways, I figured it out without your edgy trolling, so have a nice day.
That said, this game can be a bit hard to learn, but the game has been around for quite a while, so help is possible. Also, I think a lot of early buyers are also people that have played it for a while.
I suspect the end game may leave something to be desired, as I think the game challenges just get bigger and not necessarily different. I am not into multiplayer, but of course that can change things up, so that is a benefit.
It is a bit of a brutal game that kinda leads to save scumming because the fights are quick and it is hard to run away... so the fights are kinda won in the design stage.
I bought the game 3 days ago and already have 35 hours, so I am enjoying it atm, that said I do play the game fairly slowly as designing ships takes time. Time will tell if the game evolves through early access.
PS: Your very aggressive here. Instead of asking "Is it worth it" you already making some assumption. Even judging the people who should answer you:
"Hello Person there, i want your opinion. But can i even thrust a stranger like you".
Ok, now im convinced your A) trolling for fun or B) this is your real attitude, which would suck. I hope this is not your everyday mood. (Your sarcasticly insulting and then apologicing in the same sentence, lol)
the game still in early access.
the campaign need a lot of rework
Hmm, I cant help but notice your avatar uses the same hand signal as one of the cursors used in the game. Could it be that you are a plant hired to shill the game?
(this is a joke) ;)
LOL - I see your point :) I do like that avatar, though.
the game has some real janky parts, a lot that is "automated" behavior should not be, and a lot you have to do manually, frankly should be automated.
that said, I also already got a sht ton of hours into it and it is definitely captivating.
if this goes where I hope it does: a much bigger "campaign" world with more goods, real economy and more things to add to the shiip and optimize, then it's gonna be one of the great ones.
it deserves the rating atm.
if the dev decides it's really about "lol I just blew up your ship! haha! soooo enterttaining! we should stream this!"- multiplayer garbage, then the rating becomes undeserved.
everything can be fun with a buddy and a few beers for some people. including bad things.
but honestly, I hope he does not get too hung up on the multiplayer crowd and the roadmap (none of the items on which are a promise) looks good.
------------
why I'm writing this is Pyanodon's mod suite for factorio.
that's "the next factorio". (along with many other great mods)
I rarely ever had so much fun ever in gaming. it's in the ingame mod browser. such complexity and sooooooooo many fluids, materials and so on... I think it's like over a thousand...
if you've never played mods, I hear Krastorio mod is good for first timers of moderately expanded mods.
Py is factorio cubed - basically... it's a nightmare. but I love it
Rimworld.
Why I would do that?
It does what I expected and even a bit more.
I can design Ships, test them and find out that I'm bad at it - repeat.
While I can also just use the Sandbox Galaxy mode and scoot around and learn more about the Game.
Is it a big 1000 things to do story driven full fledge AAA game? No and it does not act like one. Its a nieche game and it fits in perfectly so far.
Besides from that I seem to found the "killer" ship in the gamefiles (pre configured, need to test a bit more, which some what shocks me as it is so damn simple)...
It's not uncommon with such games to see significant positive reviews at the outset from players who have had a lot more experience with them that the Steam release date would suggest.
Great point and I would not be surprised to see a similar response from something like Star Sector as well if/when it releases on Steam. But yes, great point--thats why I asked (rather beligerantly, I'm observing, now, this morning; man I should have eaten a Snickers!).
I ended up buying and playing this briefly and it immediately sucked me in. Rating well deserved. Can't wait to play it with my kiddo! He really loves these sandbox building type games, and I'm super excited to see what his mind comes up with!
