P.S. Don't stop playing cosmoteer if you enjoy it, it's a really fun game
Are you trying to tell people in a thread you necroed 7 months down the line that they're wrong because the thing you couldn't do at the time is now something you can do?
Or are you trying to ask the same question as the OP, except with the question being more relevant now that we have the new systems in the current build?
Assuming it's the latter, you should probably have clarified that in your post. But here goes:
In build mode/ship editor, with a launcher selected, the "rotate" buttons along the bottom edge of the construction space shift to the right slightly, and there's an additional button for selecting which type of launcher you're going to be placing. Also, once the ship is built, you can swap ammo types by selecting the launcher, and looking in the bottom left corner of the screen, where there's an "ammo type" selector in the action bar. When you save a ship design, it saves the all attached launcher ammo type settings as part of the build, so you'll build any new copies of that design already set up if you save the build after confirming the right launchers are equipped.
