I just want to throw out the idea of, if you can get onto GOG, releasing a Squidlit bundle (Squidlit + Super Squidlit) on GOG.com when the new game is released. GOG's curation standards can be a bit too strong imo but I do like their service so I just wanted to suggest at least trying.
I don't think GoG does anything below $6. Itch.io is more accommodating to tiny game-lets.
Just now saw this post. I think they prefer more expensive games but they do have Insult Simulator which is only $2, cheap DLC, and many games go on sale for ~$2-4. Plus if the new game is like 4-6 dollars, a bundle would be 6-8 dollars.
To add, I also think the first boss shoot-em-up scene would make for a cool squidlit shoot-em-up game in itself! Please consider it.
