Township Tale possibility?
So Township Tale (https://townshiptale.com) is a game that would really benefit from NaLo. Unfortunately they don't plan on launching on Steam, but are using a 3rd party launcher called Alta (http://altavr.io/) (I don't think it's actually their own launcher, unsure). I'm not sure to what extent it relies on Steam, it seems to require SteamVR is launched before running? Anyway, I'm not sure if it's possible to integrate NaLo given those constraints, but just putting it on the radar. You'd find a solid enthusiasts' community there - it's a very physically-immersive game, and NaLo would amplify the experience.

We tried to make a profile a couple of times, but it was so slow it was unplayable to us... We'll keep trying from time to time until it's playable. Also I couldn't find an option to disable the FoV reduction which made it even more uncomfortable to us.

NaLo doesn't require games to be on Steam, just to be able to run in SteamVR mode, so it should work.

Thanks for the response, I forgot we can make custom profiles! I just tried making one and got pretty close, no slowness or issues (just poor mapping due to my newbishness). If you get a chance you might want to look again. In the meantime I'll start studying NaLo how-to & see about making/sharing a profile

BTW I wonder if the slowness you experienced had to do with their server lag / map-loading. There are times like that. If you do test it on a server (rather than the load zone, which is server-free) use AUS, not US

Got a custom profile working great! Very handy indeed for this game, which has long walking treks like Skyrim.
LMK if you want a configuration write-up (or export?), but I figure y'all can piece it together easily.

Sorry late, I've been very busy lately - don't know when I'll find time to write this up, so I'd say experiment on your own so you're not waiting - it's mostly defaults.

No problem, I'll take a shot at making my own profile whenever I get time, I don't even play VR that much lately.

I want to try to make it, my question is, not being a steam game, how do I tell NaLo what game this is?

NaLo does not need to get the game exe except for launching it from the NaLo UI or making the DLL trick to force SteamVR api. NaLo will emulate the joystick input in SteamVR even if the game is not running.

If the game is being executed through Oculus VR api, it will not work with NaLo.

I'll take a look for this game to create a profile since the developers make it much better since the last time I tried to create it.

Oh, that would be so good. After a lot of trying I could create a working but rough profile :)

i know this thread is a bit *dead* but i realy need some help. I can't get Township tale to work with NaLo at all., like NaLo reads that im taking steps but nothing is happening in Township.

I'm just trying to get arm swinging working, and i can't open steam vr overlay like in other steam vr games, I'm using an Oculus quest 2, and i can't get the airlink overlay to work either when launching the game in "Steam vr mode" from the Alta launcher. (usually it's a press on the little indented buttons on the controllers left for steam, and right for airlink overlay.)

any insight?
