Poor performance with feet trackers in Skyrim VR?
I attached two Vive Trackers to the outer sides of my ankles. The problem is that the speed at which I move ingame seems to be very inconsistent. Also, starting from stationary position, the first 5-10 steps or so hardly move me at all, then after a while I seem to gain some consistent speed, as if it clamps to a speed value until my steps become slower.

Although I see great potential, it's rather frustrating to move right now, especially when it will barely move for the first 10 seconds or so. Am I doing something wrong or is it supposed to work like this currently?

It's not supposed to do that. After calibration it should be start moving instantly when you lift the foot, and should stop the moment it misses a step. Is your tracking good down there?

Check for reflections. Glass panes or polished floors can easily affect feet tracking. For the former cover all possible reflections, for the latter put black tape on the sensors that point downwards. Calibration should feel 1 step = one chime sound, otherwise there's bad tracking. Press both home buttons at the same time to reset calibration and do it again.

Put the tracker dongles' in their own USB hub, and try different ports of the computer.

Also the trackers must be tight enough they don't wobble too much.

Tracking seems to be very good, no glass whatsoever and the floor is covered everywhere. The calibration also sounds good, one chime for every step. I redid it many times.

I did change the tracker hubs to USB 3 ports, and replaced their dongles to a location with perfect line of sight. I still seem to have the issue half of the time when I start walking. To be clear, it's not totally unresponsive, but only gives a slight, sudden shock forward for every step, until I've repeated it a good number of times, then I get a constant speed.

I see. I need to add recording capabilities to NaLo so testers can send me recordings of their movements to test against. In the mean time, could you record your feet on video and send to contact@myousoftware.com ? E.g. with a phone, and maybe also using OBS to record the game.

Aaaah! You didn't mention you have a Pimax! That's not compatible yet! Sorry I didn't remember you from the Pimax thread.

We want to make it compatible this week. I've sent a friend invite. I'll let you know how you can help.

I am also unable to get the trackers working in game, although the calibration works immediately.

My set-up includes:

a Pimax 5k+
2 Vive 1.0 Wands
2 Vive Tracker 2.0s
2 Vive 1.0 Lighthouses

Ready to help in any testing.

I've got it to work only twice for far, but NaLo had me walking backwards!?

I just got some help from Maegfaer to get going with Pimax support. He has a 5K+ as well. I'll push a build with Pimax support for testing today, probably.

What the build it will be? Regular beta or some special? Want to get it too and test.

Switched to feet tracking using PS3 Move controllers, but in game they didn't work. And arm swinging movement was still working even if that was disabled.

Same for me... my ps3 move version is not that they recommend to use with NaLo (very difficult to find this version here in Brazil)

Mines are N1158 though.

I've added Pimax support to the beta branch. Let me know if it works, both for head oriented and controller oriented configurations.

I'm sorry for the delay!
