Issue using 3rd Index controller as tracker.
Hey all,

So I bought a left index controller from Vlave because my old one's joystick was completely dead. I know that NaLo could convert a controller into a tracker and I was planning on using
it as my hip tracker.

So I launch NaLo only using the old controller. It's paired and I use NaLo to convert. Then when I turn it on it turns on just like a regular tracker and my right controller connects just fine, but my new left controller does not connect or pair.

I understand you need a dongle for the Vive wands to work, but do I need it as well for the Index controllers to do the same?

You can connect 2 controllers to the headset, the third one requires a USB dongle or another lighthouse headset connected to USB+power only (with this you could connect 2 extra controllers).

Nalo can convert the controller to tracker temporarily. This can't be used in Sword and Sorcery for some reason the game isn't recognizing it as a tracker, but it is compatible with other games like climbey or VRChat.

There is an official way to convert the controller into a tracker using the tool to flash devices of SteamVR. This is more compatible with all games, but is more complicated and even more if you want to revert it to its original function.

My index controllers I'm using as trackers cannot be used as controllers again, but they still track. I'm having issues where the Steam VR menu will randomly pop up or passthrough will turn on. Do you know why this issue is happening? if not, do you have the method to permanently alter the controller like you describe? because I am running into a lot of issues.
