PS3 Move instructions
You need two PS3 Move controllers (PS3 version are miniUSB). No camera is needed. WMR users may need to restart their controllers, read below.

Make sure they're charged enough. They don't charge with regular chargers, only with PC, PS3/PS4, etc. and PS Move bases.

TO PAIR AND CALIBRATE (usually needed only once):

Install PSMoveService[github.com]

Replace the two .exe files with these[www.dropbox.com].

DON'T install PSMoveSteamVRBridge (if you have it, close SteamVR and uninstall PSMoveSteamVRBridge). It makes NaLo crash.

Close NaLo if you have it open.

Open PSMoveServiceAdmin, keep it open.

Open PSMoveConfigTool.

Click connect and use it to pair each controller through miniUSB. Use the little [<] [>] buttons to switch between controllers.

Calibrate the magnetometer of each controller. If they don't have magnetometer you can still use them, but you'll need an Android smartphone in your pocket.

When calibrating the magnetometer, make sure it makes an uniform sphere, without "bumps" caused by magnets (speakers, earphones, laptop lid, etc). Easiest way is to point to North or South, and roll the controller while you tilt upwards and towards the opposite cardinal direction. Also yaw if you're unsure of where North/South is.

The step of keeping it upright can be done by grabbing the ball with two fingers, if you think there may be some magnet on the table.

Click Ok, exit, then close PSMoveServiceAdmin. It's not needed anymore unless you have to recalibrate.

        TO USE:

Strap the controllers to the ankles. It works nicely with cheap phone arm holders.

If the direction is wonky, recalibrate by pressing both home buttons (or left home + right A in Oculus). If it's still wrong, you may have to recalibrate magnetometer with PSMoveConfigTool.

If you use WMR, turn off the WMR controllers and back on before calibrating, to alleviate Bluetooth congestion issues.

Once you're done playing TURN OFF THE CONTROLLERS! They don't turn off automatically. Hold the PS (power) button for 10 seconds to turn off.

Tell your experience... or whether it worked at all! We're still improving support for relative trackers. Subscribe to this thread for updates on this feature.

Just before release we cleaned up the code and fixed a bug, but PS3 Move support depended on this bug to work correctly so it was effectively broken, stopping randomly and deviating too easily. The beta branch has been updated with this problem fixed.

PS Move support works perfectly with WMR now for some reason.

What headset do you have? Is it an Odyssey+ by any chance? Otherwise, are your controllers more jerky than usual?

I use a Lenovo one. I turned on the PS Moves first and then the WMR controllers. The controllers don't seem to be jittery. If they are, then it's not much more than what it is usually. All of the buttons still go through and such. I'll be messing around with the PS move controllers again, but from what I could tell, everything was fine.

I see, thanks!

One last question: Do you have Windows 10 version 1803 o 1809? (run "winver" if you're unsure)

1809.

EDIT: The controllers are definitely jittery. But for games like Skyrim, it should be fine. If it wa Beat Saber, it would be pretty bad imo.

Anyway to tell if these would works ? Getting two would be roughly 100$ , which is half the price for new.

It doesn't say, but any PS3 Move (miniUSB not microUSB) will work with the next NaLo version, but if you get them without magnetometer (kinda rare) you'll need a smartphone in the pocket for orientation.

If you don't mind spending more I suggest to use Nintendo Switch Joycons. They do need a smartphone in the pocket too but we're getting better results with them, and they work better with WMR.

Also, we found out how to use PS3 Move with WMR: after having started NaLo and before calibration, turning off WMR controllers, calibrate, turn them back on. Now instead of the feet being glitchy, the hands will have worse tracking.

Anyone tried Vive controllers witn PS3 Moves as feet successfully? I was about to try my Kinect as VR full body tracking but this better idea came up so here i am. Uhhh....I'm so hyped to try full body tracking dancing in VR!

I would get them as cheap as possible. In amazon you can find the pair for <55$ used, and in eBay they're sold for 50-60 a pair, and maybe even less if they have a faulty joysctick etc which seems a common issue for launch day units.

They're clearly better when compared to PS Move. But the "golden effectiveness" are actual VR trackers or controllers for now, we're still improving support for these cheaper devices which didn't have much testing in comparison.

Not right now. Tomorrow it's very probable. This week for sure.

The phone app functionality still needs some more work, so it's easy to connect to NaLo and it doesn't drain your battery too quickly.

We were tackling other issues like Pimax support and Vive camera not working among others. We still want to release Joycon support ASAP.
