Jog in place via head bob tracking?
I don't think I'm alone in the desire to use VR to get some cardio exercise. I love your app but I must continually remind myself during play to jog in place rather than only moving my arms. It's easy to cheat and it also breaks immersion when I'm moving in game without my feet moving. I'm still hopeful for Vive tracker support for this as an option.

In the meantime (or for the majority without trackers), have you considered adding an optional feature to monitor the HMD to verify it's bobbing up and down at a user configurable threshold in order to engage movement based on jogging in place? Seems like this would be fairly easy to track.

Sadly, the grip would probably still have to start movement if the user wanted to avoid a start or stop delay. If the player is using the grip toggle mode, it could be toggled on and off automatically once headbob is clearly detected as having started or stopped. The amount of certainty that the user is jogging in place might be configurable. Maybe a combination of arm and headbob could be detected quickly and accurately, thus eliminating the need for the grip button? That would be ideal.

I understand some people won't want the exercise of jogging in place (or maybe they only want to use it sometimes when they have the energy), so an easy way to toggle it on and off from say the main profile screen would be handy.

It's in our TODO to add an option for mandatory head movement for locomotion. Mainly to reduce motion sickness, but it may also increase immersion as you point out.

Trackerless walk in place is almost done. It's nearly the same thing but not exactly. And it doesn't have the fine speed and direction control one gets with arms or with trackers.
