Track pad in VRChat
I've been usind NaLo with VRC for a few weeks now.

I have enable walking on both grips with passthrough pressing quickly.

I get kinda funky results from the 'original trackpad/joystick' setting however...

Click passthrough: Works great other than it doesn't seem to passthrough the gestures that are controlled by touching the trackpad without clicking (clicking works for moving as it should.
Enabled when not moving: Gestures work with this but while moving with the grips but touching the trackpad without clicking overrides NaLo movement.
Chooses direction: Bit like click passthrough in that it works as intended but blocks the gestures on that controller.
Combine with movement: Movement is by touching without needing to click, unlike VRChat's default... Also blocks gestures on that controller.

Is there a way to adjust that? I had a look in profiles.json but can't see anything but then it's quite hard to see in there!

Thanks.

We'll try to fix the issue, adding a mode for touch passthrough if necessary. Can you recommend any specific avatar with all features for testing the functionality?

I'm pretty sure all the default public avatars have the same default animation set. Certainly Nikei and Unity-chan do. You can access them either through the menu or on the wall in the default home world.

I think the issue is probably just that you're using a slightly different method for moving with the trackpad than VRChat does by default.

The way you have movement by controller setup is how VRChat gesture/animations are played.

By default, in VRChat, you need to actually click the left trackpad and then as you move your thumb around the trackpad, your avatar moves (you don't need to hold the trackpad button down, just not lift your thumb off the pad or it resets back to gestures until it's clicked again)... Not super intuitive but they're trying to cram as much gesture options in there as possible along with everything else.

FYI - This is with the Vive controllers, if it's not clear.

Aaah, hand gestures! I thought there was face gestures or something like I saw in some videos.

Ok, I completely fixed how "enabled when not moving" works, and will be in the default VRChat profile in the next update.

Unfortunately the code is a bit too unstable for publication right now (with walk in place with trackers), you'll have to wait a few days to have the fix.

The face gestures are the same thing actually. They are animation overrides specific to each avatar and use the same controls.

No problem about the wait. Thanks for fixing! :)
