Maybe it's dead but I'm still playing. I know that if I play every day maybe Bandai will take pity on it and update it for me.

Its dead, I still play it though, a lot actually. Probably because they relied on Nintendo to bring it west and didn't do a great job of that. The game is initially an arcade game, and the new revamp, super dragon ball hero divers has JUST been released in...novemeber? so its brand new in JP too. The thing is, Arcades are all but extinct in the west and not enough people even know about the existance of the heroes franchise to think about launching another "nintendo" version west.

Frankly, I love this series, but Nintendo itself is pretty horrible lately in what it does, so even if they would bring divers to the west I don't think I could support them, as much as I enjoy this game.

Nintendo did this game dirty because it’s so damn good. It’s wild that when the game isn’t on sale it’s $60. Maybe if they lowered the price it would get a little attention but at this point they’ve probably moved on for the NA player base. I haven’t touched World Mission in over 2 years and I miss this game. Maybe someday they will make an update for us. Someday…

so it's less "heroes ended" and more "heroes was rebranded"
Well. Yes, "heroes" arcade was finished and they upgrade it to "super divers". Heroes can be played freely, but will not get any updates. Sadly, Japan will not give us again this game. Why? Like others said, not enough fans for such game. Plus, it's arcade, which supposed to gain money from trading cards and selling "coins" to play it. The PC version lacks all of this - and that's why it is not profitable for them. The only way to deliver it to us is use arcade too. But arcade was unpopular outside of Japan. Or better to say, not so popular like in Japan.

BUT!

Actually, we are should be happy, that japan decided to give us atlest that game. It is the only card game for PC from Dragon Ball. And it's fun to play. I didnt play it in online still, only offline. But yet, after you wachted almost ALL the Dragon Ball series (filmes and anime) - this game becomes like golden treasure for you. What is it indeed. Besides, most likely it is the best 3D card game
this is why i need to time travel back to 2008 and tell those NA idiots that they love the arcade

source: interview of japan invenstors trying to give the arcade version to the US
they killed the game for a new one called super divers.
People are really pissed since you can't use DBH cards among many other things. In fact its doing so poorly many arcades stopped buying it and are trying to return the machines. It was destined to fail from the start why ruin what isnt broken. Anyway, if anyone ever wants to play online i would love too

no it doesn't. Only in 'heroes' mode which no one plays because of how pissed they are about the game in general

for those wondering dragon ball heroes ended earlier this year. the arcade is no longer getting updates in favor for the new arcade game dragon ball divers. currently this is the most updated game based on heroes outside japan. the only alternatives are the ds/3ds games
