This isnt really a TCG. You just Scan your Card into the Arcade Machine and play QT Events and move them around like we do in the game. You cant even play without one or the other. Even if you can get the Cards there are no TCG Mechanics outside the Arcade Machine.
There was a real DBZ TCG back in the day, but I dont think they make it anymore. I have been out of the TCG Scene for a long time now though so I cant say for sure.
I get why it's extremely popular in Japan for being so different.
I think you missed my point when I was talking about the Arcade. Its not just that the Arcade needs the Cards, the Cards need the Arcade. There are no Rules to use outside the Arcade. The Cards are just Pictures with Stats and a Bar-code you scan into the Machine. You literally cannot play one without the Other. Its just a Arcade Game that uses TCG Sales Mechanics as a major Revenuer Source. So while it does use Cards and its Gotcha System as a Gimmick, it has very little else in common with TCGs.
I basically just didnt want you to think that you could just Import the Cards and be able to play it like a TCG since without the Arcade Machine they are just Collectors Cards and not a TCG.
But, I CAN'T import the physical cards without the machine.(And I won't bother bringing up the anime convention as a source to find the arcade machine...) As those arcade machines in Japan are exclusively to the east. You're right that they'll only be collectible cards with it. I'm just saying this game isn't like Magic or Hearthstone.
I have little hope Bamco would update this game with an expansion to add the new content from the latest arcade version in Japan.
Why not, didn't this game do well enough?
You do realize you could buy the Physical Cards and Import them with having to by the Arcade Machine right? Nothing is stopping this besides the Cost to do so. I just wanted to make sure you did not think you could play a normal TCG with just the Cards. No reason to get so upset when I was just trying to make sure you didnt spend a bunch of money on something that you could not use.
As for Updating this Game, I already explained that is pretty much impossible in my first Post. The stuff after what is in the game use a new Engine. All the Assets used in this game are just Ported over from the Arcade Engine, its why we got so many Free Updates. If they were to include anything after they would have to make it from scratch and charge for it. This game did not sell well enough that they would be willing to spend money and resources on such a gamble.
The best bet we have is hoping that like they did with this game they make another at the end of the current Arcades Engines life cycle to try and milk a bit more cash off of it. Even then it doesnt look good due to the low popularity of it outside of Japan.
Updating World Mission: Then we're better off with a completely new SDBH game for next gen consoles/PC............=/ This game is 4 years old now on Steam and the DBH series is celebrating the 12th anniversary on it's official website in Japan.
If they ever do make another Non Arcade version of it again then I doubt we will see one until they are almost ready to release the next Engine in the Arcades as a way to get some more money out of the old one. Its why they made this one after all. Why not make a few more bucks off the old engine before scrapping it. Plus I am sure they were testing the waters to see if they could get interest outside of Japan so they could export the Arcade Version, much cheaper to do it this way. It didnt go well though so the odds of it happening are not that good. The whole Quick Time Events thing is just not really that popular. I hate it myself, but I love just about anything Dragon Ball.
I totally understand the Arcades issue. Pretty much all the Arcade were I lived at the time died out over 20 years ago. All that was left was places like Daves and Busters, and they only really had Claw Games and Giant Screen Mobil Games. Nothing like the Arcades of my youth. I miss the days of putting a Quarter on the Cabinet of Street Fighter 2 to wait in line for my fight. Online gaming can never simulate that feeling.
and Dragon Ball Super and One Piece Film Gold: DB Heroes Mission 9 ultra instinct for cac and all the other cards for dragonball heros
