Lots of this was explained in the tutorials, and even if it's not explained in the tutorials, it's still pretty easy to find. Camaraderie is basically an exp sort of thing, where when you use certain characters, they'll gain camaraderie points, eventually getting to the next level. With each level, you unlock bonuses for the character, such as PWR or GRD boosts, and at the final level I think you can get a unique move or passive for them. To equip it, I believe you can go to the character selection area and choose from there, or it may be in the menu where you can view your camaraderie levels with your characters.
But if you're confused, just google it. There's literally 0 reason why you should be stuck on a concept when there're guides out there that explain this stuff.
I don't think so, there're subtitles for just about everything save the transitional screens during battle. And if you watch DB subbed, then you'll pick up quite a few phrases and understand what they're saying.
But again, google is your friend. Even if you don't understand it, there's bound to be another person who knows Japanese and who's translated it. If you're still stumped, then head over to reddit and ask the community, or twitter and dm Goresh or someone like that.
