Hero Avatar, Super Attacks and Potara!

So something I'm confused about and honestly most likely completely forgot about somewhere within the tutorials.

Right now on my Avatar I have Absolute Energy Blast thanks to having max Bond/Camaraderie with #21. Yet I want to use the attack Change The Future which I have equipped.

My question is...what's blocking Change The Future from playing out instead of Absolute Energy Blast? I don't have any Potara equipped right now since that'd block my Avatar from going SSJ.

Someone explain this to me like I'm five Because I know Potara's 9/10 times overtake whatever the base ability is your cards have when you equip it onto a character.

you said potara changes attack, it doesn't. sword does.

you said potara changes attack, it doesn't. sword does.

No I didn't say it changes attack, that it changes whatever ability you have as your main. If I have SSJ as my base ability and equip a potara that makes it so I end up doing Scathing Ki Blast, I no longer turn into a SSJ and will instead do Scathing Ki Blast that round.(or whichever round the potara says it activates)

I'm asking why when I have Change The Future Equipped(Sword)I still do #21's super attack and not Change The Future. I don't have a potara equipped on my Hero Avatar.
