I can't speak for all of them since i've not tried arcade mode yet, but the first time I activated arcade mode I got a text glossery from the off about the start of one of them, not sure which, or which order it is in. Don't know if it's every time, or if there is more in the arcade mode sections itself.
As for if the plot of story mode makes sense, as I've said i have not played Arcade mode and story seems to make sense so far, only question you might have is from the start cutsecne and go "who the f is this guy?" but it's explained later on. It does not look like you need a summery of the previous arcs to play story.
A quick side note here: Arcade and Story seem to be two sperate things at least from what i've seen. Story mode seems to be fairly self contained while Arcade mode has the sagas you list, though I do not know if those sagas come with plot summeries aside from the intro one.
Here thou, its a card game with fracking TRUNKS from XENOVERSE Thrown into whats basicaly the "real world" with a pseudo VR game called DBH, because another FOE actualy made it into Corona's palace and trunks was AGAIN unable to prevent anything realy.... He might be the coolest char in the entire DB universe, yet he is also 90% of the time as useless as kuririn...
Oh and to sum it up : You dont need to know DB at all sadly.. shure it helps to get some more insight yet not realy needed. This game provides you with 100% of the intell you need to actualy get into the story and maybe even enjoy it.
PS: This game is MENT to be played in MP, not SP. SP is just more or less "preperation" for MP. If that woudlnt be the case then i would encounter RANDOM stuff in Turnaments against AI and could have RANDOM battles in SP.
