On the other hand, Dark Souls too has a story about Everlasting Dragons, New Gods and two "serpents" who manipulated all of them. But you say that Dark Souls don't have story or lore?
I'm not sure how to respond to this except by iterating that I literally did not say this. I said that in Dark Souls, the lore is obscure and hidden. The writers probably have a few ideas as to what's happening, but they don't let the player in on it. I get that story details can be found in NPC dialogues and item descriptions, but even once you have it all, the game is still mostly a mystery. Some players find the mystery intriguing, but to me it feels like the writers just skipped out on their jobs.
