Blademasters have excellent mobility if you get Lightning Strike at level 2 and Sidestep at level 5. With these two skills a Blademaster becomes a flexible tool that is able to reach any target in moderate range and eliminate it. Very often in my groups it is the Blademaster's job to take out the target that poses the highest threat; she has the mobility to get there and the damage output to eliminate even tougher enemies on the same turn if necessary. Sidestep can also be used to move out of delayed area damage effects, even when she is rooted.
Immovable stance has its little niche, dealing with scavengers and later their evolved form, I guess. For everything else I prefer Lightning Strike, it is the choice that offers more flexibility.
Level 1-5 Blademaster has a chance to earn Resourceful when completing a rescue mission for +10 AP.
Level 6-10 she can earn One with the Sword guaranteed for +20% dmg +10 AP just by completing a mission without taking damage.
Level 11-15 any daughter has a chance to earn Born Killer for +10 AP by killing the most enemies and not taking any damage.
And any daughter can earn Veteran for +10 AP by completing 9 missions and then completing one without taking damage.
So Blademaster can end up with 140 AP. Allowing her to accomplish a lot in one turn.
Or sacrifice a soulslinger to her. My BM at level 13 has 23% dodge and 23% crit chance.
Was wondering about that. So the class of sacrificied daughter influences the trait?
yeah the level and type sacrificed influences the effect. Sac SS: +%dodge +%crit chance Sac SB: +health +%init push resist Sac BM: +dmg +crit damage Sac SD: -start init -eot init (super good for powerful daughters with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ init)
BUT the interrupt skill and shadow rounds are really good. Just position her in range of a boss, activate shadow rounds and shoot with her basic attack to push her as far back as possible in the timeline. Than attack the boss with all other daughters. She will get in about 8 to 10 shadow round attacks. I melted the last boss with that and a BM with the stance that lets you do the same.
She also has a good AOE attack for dealing with these smaller enemies that hunt in packs.
But I trait farmed her though so she had tons of damage and AP.
Didn't say the Slinger was bad, just saying that if any class is less powerful it would be the Slinger. But now I'm getting into the latter levels and its evening out.
Also, I'll add that menacing stance is like a more powerful Shadow-Cast that syngises with it. It carried me through the last boss when all i had left was the nealry dead blademaster, a nearly dead shelidbearer, and an underdeveloped scythedancer. In my book, that's another point in their favor.
