Keep an eye out on Nexus, though. I would be surprised if it took more than a month for something to show up.
Bring em not having to spend HP to use useful skills
Same, but then it wouldn't be so sad and artistic, yada yada. The whole choice thing starts to ring hollow once you see just how many cheap shots you have to take.
We are in favor of Mods but right now it is not supported specifically. We are happy to talk about what that support would look like!
The simplest suggestion i can make is to look at how X-com Chimera squad supports mods through the Workshop. i've not performed much (does editing a save file count?) modding myself, but from what i can tell, they provide full access to the games code and tools to tinker with it, and within days of release people had made new characters.
no offense, but i can't help but compare this game to chimera squad, they have similar designs, just vastly different stories.
For example a lvl 1 girl will only heal 20% of a lvl 5 girl and 10% on a lvl 10 girl. And then you can bring those rememberance and traits to modify it a bit or a lot perhaps
i like that idea. im torn between liking the difficult and thought it forces you to do with high level characters, but at the same time sorta hate losing them and starting from scratch over one wrong move and not be able to heal at all. Sacrificing a level 2 daughter could slightly heal a level 5 daughter
That would just turn daughters into cannonfodder and have the same effect as healing with the resource itself.
Yeah, exactly.
Early on it was possible to sacrifice newborns.
This made your alpha-team of grizzled veterans to survive by literally eating babies.
The whole strat was called "daughters as healing potions" and it did not last for long, as it
was really making the game way too easy.
I could see the game being too easy if a lvl 1 daugther could fully heal a lvl 15 one thats why i suggest the health healed depends on the sacrificed : healed ratio's level.
But in the end isnt that what mods are about ? To play the way you want
Having a backup team is always a good idea, just in case if something goes wrong.
Besides, some later missions require more then 3 daughters.
As for your idea, in other words, it would change Reactions and Interruption cost from HP to Vitae:
Immovable Stance = 5% HP = 0.5 newborn = 100 Vitae or 200 for 2 uses,
Interrupting Round = 10% HP = 1 newborn = 200 Vitae. Something like that? )
It depends on the how often you swap intalled memories, but personally I've never been lacking Vitae.
So such an exange would still trivialize the game in my opinion.
But I agree, that's what the mods are for - to allow you to modify the game to your liking.
It would also hurt the RP / story aspect of the game. You're not supposed to just feed them to the meatgrinder. That's why I'd welcome an option to heal them with Vitae, but not by sacrificing low-level daughters (which effectively becomes the same)
I wouldn't mind if 100 Vitae only healed 5% or sth, it's at least something to work with.
