God I love fish

I've just gotten into this game, in short, it's amazing for being free. That's not to mention though, that i've spent some money on VIP to help get started. Here's some pros and cons:
pros:
- huge maps
- decently large fish variety
- vast in game store to choose your gear
- the game already has motor boats and ATVs for easier transportation
- the fish modelling is flawless.
- I like the ability to choose the sessions i'm in.
- the game is very realistic in that there isn't an unlimited amount of fish in the water and that you have to search the water for fish.
-ability to sell fish to a market, very unique I must say.

cons:
- the game is plauged with bugs.
- gear deteriorates way too fast and you are constantly buying items to replace the broken down ones.
- VIP is too op, you automatically get the ability to access all lakes (which makes for no sense of adventure after you've spent 3 in game hours exploring them all).
- the ranking system is very slow.
- while the maps are vast, they lack fine detail.
- the fighting mechanics just suck.
- microtransactions are quickly becoming a norm for this game.

Though, I have to give the devs some slack as this game is still less than a month old and I am excited to see what's to come!

First of all I don't get those people that play this for 20 minutes and then write a review and say meh, mediocre pffff. Comon really?
This is a very good game, looks awesome and the gameplay is fun, especcially when you find a few good fishing spots. Yes this game in it's basics is free, but don't get fooled by it. If you really want to progress, a few bucks to invest is needed, and that's ok, the devs deserve it the support is great. Is it finished? no it needs some work, witch is also fine, you can grow with the game. Is there anything missing atm? yes, viewing your stats and those of your friends to get bragging rights would be nice, but im sure they will come intime. Do you like fishing alone or with your friends? than this game is a good investment.

I play this game since it got launched for the public (no early beta testing). This is not the first fishing sim I play, so I can compare a few things with other games (which is rathe rnormal, I think).

This fishing sim is not hard to understand. Maybe there should be an inbuild tutorial to make players understand certain aspects of the game (like f.e. buying and changing the rods, how to use the sonar, etc.) but that can and is covered by the community in the guide section of the game's Steam page/forum. You can just start fishing, alone or with friends, and having fun in environments that speak to the imagination. I simply mean that the surroundings, the graphics, are great!

Also this game is well balanced between playing as a VIP or playing as a free-to-play player. Of course everything goes a bit faster with VIP, still you can play this game absolutely free of charge. I don't really have the feeling that you have to spend money to have fun with this game.

Another great thing that changed since the beginning of this game is the entire User Interface that got changed recently. Really, this was a game changer! The game looks way better than ever before! Also some aspects regarding gameplay got changed with that UI, like f.e. the way you have to change consumables and equipment. Way better now! Just point and click.

If the devs keep doing what they're doing I'm sure that there is a future for this awesome fishing simulator! All at good time and with a cooperation between devs and community all will be fine.
