Spinning lure going too deep

Having this problem with a rod I just bought in the game.
while with it I can throw my lure 40 m away, I can-t seem to keep it in a suitable depth for fishes to bite.
If I go a bit slow the lure quickly sinks to the bottom saying that I-m not doing it right (red indicator), but if I reel in a level faster it gets up to the surface and becomes tooo fast for fishes to keep up.
I tried changing the lure to a lighter one to see if it would sink slower but nothing changed.

I'm using a Sakura Tsubaki TSS 532 UL and a Profish Scrub 800

thanks a lot for the info, I normally go with a straight slow or straight fast technique, so I guess I'll have to get the hang on the Stop & Go for this one.
I'm just sorry you had to spend your in game money to test this out...

Thanks this was insanely helpful.
I don't seem to find that many tutorials or online guides for this game soI have to learn from experience alone.
