Thankfully the UE4 sharpening edit works with this game.
All Milestones UE4 games have been a blurry mess so far, with Gravel being the least blurry, but still blurry to an extent.
This happens because of TAA anti aliasing which is a great anti aliasing to get rid of jaggies, but blurs the image quality, which is why most devs add a Sharpening filter in the graphics options of their UE4 games, something Milestone dont do ofcourse lol.

Anyway follow these instructions, and thank me later lol -

Go to:

C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\mxgp4\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

and edit:
Engine.ini

Put this in file below everything else-

[ConsoleVariables]
r.TemporalAACatmullRom=1
r.TemporalAAPauseCorrect=1
r.TemporalAASamples=4
r.Tonemapper.Sharpen=2

You need TAA set to 'High' ingame for this to work properly.

This game is quite demanding, especially the coumpound levels. I mean imo it shouldnt be as demanding as it is, Gravel looks better and runs better, same devs and same UE4 engine.
I dont think any patch or update is going to optimize the game enough to get your 1060 running this at 1440p/60fps max settings.
Look like you didn't understand what i've wrote earlier...

Like i this said in this thread "it is the only game i got shadows problem with and it's not my first UE4 game..." My PC run EVERY games at 1440p without "ultra" settings, most of the time at "high" settings (big games). The problem is: setting my game on "low", medium", "high" or "ultra" no differences with shadow set on "low" or "medium", still fps drop under 60.
It's not my only UE4 game. I already know games are different, they are not made by the same dev team xD. But it still an unreal engine 4, a bad optimised UE4 game.

It is a problem of texture loading, if your game is installed on a HDD do a defragmentation. If your game is installed on a SSD it is a problem of game optimisation, like my shadows problem for example.

It's installed on a Samsung 1TB 850 Pro. I've asked others with AMD gpus who aren't having this problem. Are you using an Nvidia GPU and if so can you reproduce?

Thanks for your video. I see, yours comes up with the interface option to "passer" I assume that's french for start or skip. That doesn't come up for me. It just keeps looping.

Ho ok, my bad :3 I was pretty sure you were speaking about grass and flowers loading time... Sorry.
You're right, in french "passer" is "skip" in english ^^

I see in your profile you're using a GTX 1060, so it can't be Nvidia related. I don't get it :/

Finally i've tested to set all graphics disabled/low with shadow set on low and medium but it still dropping fps under 60.
So now i'm playing with all graphics on high/ultra with shadow disabled. I've also set gamma the lowest possible. It's not perfect but better than fps drop.

When playing career i hope it will be not a sunny day because it's ugly. Other meteo conditions are ok this way.

Dreaming right now about an update from Milestone...

Have u looked in nvidia controlpanel? there is some changes you can do to get highrer fps. i did it myself to squad.
Maybe u can finde what it was on youtube. it should work the same on every game

Go to manage 3d settings/program settings.

Add the game. then u can try it out. There is something named preefered refresh rate.

I fixed my 1080ti GFX issues/game freezing etc.. with the NVIDIA INSPECTOR utility.

Once downloaded click on the small nvidia icon half way down right side to bring up the profiles section/settings.

Theres an existing MXGP profile in the utility which you can use for MXGP PRO.

Choose the existing MXGP profile and via the menu "EXPORT" (current file only) to your desktop for example.

Then create a new profile via the menu called "MXGP PRO" and "IMPORT" the profile you exported to your desktop to that new profile you created (MXGP PRO).

Now you need to link your new MXGP PRO profile to your mxgp4.exe file.

From the menu choose "Add application to current file" and find your mxgp4.exe file to link to it and "Apply Changes".

Bingo' - freezing gone.

You can grab Nvidia Inspector here:
