Game won't launch

windows 10 enterprise
fresh install via steam
try to launch game, but nothing happens
i do get the steam popup saying "preparing to launch...", but then it goes away and nothing happens.
i don't see that any process starts up in task manager

Same thing happens to me. I guess I should be concerned this this comment is several months old.
