Bots or Auto Response or Just Annoying People?

Why are there so many players that wait until the last second to pick the check or fold every hand?

Are they just trying to be annoying or are they bots?

I can speculate a couple of reasons. One would be a player is playing multiple games at a time. Another would be strategy. The more time goes by on a SNG or Multi table game, the higher the blinds go which can knock short stacks out pretty quick. Then there are those people that think its a head game IE: if I wait long enough then maybe the other player will think i'm pondering a tough decision. There are other reasons, like sometimes I'll go make a cup of coffee so i'm running back and forth for about a min and utilize that time to continue keeping up. I agree though. It does get annoying most of the time.
