Any tables/areas that dont allow shoving/all in on the blinds?
I hate the noob tactic of just going all in on the first bet you make. It blocks play and I always seem to end up on tables with no-skillers who just do this over and over again.

I totally agree. A table that will allow this would be amazing, or maybe a mechanism that will allow for table matchmaking based on player style?

The best thing to do would be to write in to Customer Support and request beta access for Sit & Go's. As well, you'll want to play at higher stakes, as the lowest stakes really have a lot of all-ins, where you will see more serious poker played the higher stakes you play at!

I dont WANT to play on higher stakes tables, The stakes I'm on are fine. The problem with this being F2P is that a whole bunch of noobs that hardly understand the rules will just go all in.

For them the gamble isn't about making it to the flop river and turn, and judging what others might have from the bets they play throughout each hand.... it's about putting all of the chips in no matter what cards you have and hoping for a win. It's a horrible tactic and I'm not sure if I will keep playing this if there's no pre-flop max bet, or anything to prevent players from going all in every hand.

Without fail, every time I've encountered a player like this, I've ended up having to change table. They will just sit there, spaffing away all their chips and losing mostly, but also winning a lot due to most players being too annoyed at their tactics to want to play (they might only get the blinds, but it's the WIN that matters, not the result).

It's the most annoying thing in poker, especially when it gets to the point where you can pretty much garantee that player X is going to all-in, just like they have for the last 50 rounds in a row. It destroys what could have been an interesting game (especially if you have a good-but-not-excellent hand).

I wouldn't want matchmaking, because then you might end up getting put with a certain "style" of player rather than it being a mix. It just needs a mechanic to only allow a player to pre-flop shove like once every 15 minutes or so.

Or have the game see what cards they are shoving on, and if it's low-value cards (e.g 3h and 6c), allow the shove, but then time them out of pre-flop shoves for 20 minutes as they are playing dumb, and keep increasing the time if they do so again (with low value cards, pre-flop).
I remember how difficult it was to break through from the lower stakes tables. You could save up your daily gifts until you have enough to play at higher stakes tables. That is a good strategy if you enjoy the game but are struggling to progress past the loose and aggressive mayhem.

Playing against a table full of donkeys is even more difficult than a table full of pros.
It is no limit hold'em though, and all-in preflop is a part of the game. If you bounce around tables enough, you will probably find one that has more poker and less bingo.

It's a free game, expect people to be learning and do stupid moves.

Dont complain and try add restrictions in the game. Do what the rest of us do and play higher stakes with the better players

The trouble is it's too easy to go totally broke on those tables if you get a few bad hands.

I just came here looking to create a post exactly like this. I'm a new player, are you saying that for me to enjoy this game I need to spend money in order to get to the high stakes?

The highest bank I've had so far is 9m and I keep losing it because more than half the table goes all in with 3/4 o/s or 10/3 o/s and I lose with AK suited. This isn't poker, it's a slot machine. I came here to play poker lol.

I'm not going to invest money in a game that isn't fun, sorry. I would love the chance to play in the high stakes games, but as a new player, i'm not about to spend real money just to do that.

It's absolutely possible to play this game without any chip purchasing. It's rigged to some extent, as i believe, but if you play NL holdem at very base level and according to your bankroll, you will be winning player. The field here isn't very strong of especially competitive up to very high stakes. The ABC strategy is more than enough for most situations. And yes, you will loose with your pocket aces, with your sets, straights, flushes and full houses. There is a lot of bad beats (and preflop errors, by the way). It is a part of the game, take it easy. And a simple rule: always play a higher limit if you have at least 75 - 100 buy-ins for it. This will save you from the games dispersion.

the game just needs a vote kick function. it won't stop people from pre-flop shoving but it at least gives us a chance to get them off the table and play poker

This is why I rarely play the game anymore. Always idiots ruining the fun.

Actually putting it simply you are completely illuminating the problem right here. Some people are treating this like a slot machine and putting all their chips in, hoping that they get a win, which sometimes happens.

The problem is, they then completely hijack the game for everyone else and cause them to have to either also treat the rounds as a slot machine and just pile it all into the middle and pray, or go find a new table.

The reason the GAME should implement some sort of restriction to prevent this, is because it IS a game, in real life no player at a table would do this, because they'd just lose their money quick and probably get ganged up on by the other players and end up losing their real money.

I concur. It's really annoying that people keep on all-inning their chips just because. Every time I saw a player all-inning pre-flop, it makes me wanna quit the lobby, and possibly the game for a while because it ruins the thrill and the fun of playing poker.

I'm a fairly new player as well, and I just stumbled upon this game because I wanted to play poker with my friends online, as well as I love to play poker just to have a good time. I play the game as serious as possible because I want that thrill of gambling without using real money and because I don't want to spoil the fun for other players too.

I really can't wait for the private lobby feature to be implemented soon so that I can play the game with my friends without randoms spoiling it by all-inning.

You are probably more suited to play Pot Limit Poker. Maybe you can suggest to the developer to include this option to the table
Gimmyl Oct 26, 2020 @ 7:56pm
Can't they just place Buy in limits on the tables- allowing some tables to be unlimited while others having 5-10 buy in limit?
