compared to other games in the same genre, this game lacks heaps of the features available in other games.

1- No loans; this means you cannot take debt to solve a simple liquidity problem or start a new expansion project if you don't have the liquidity. which sometimes is so bad you have to fail objectives because you don't have the money NOW as opposed to later. Loans are in every business management game, they are even in city planning games! I didn't play with AI or multiplayer, but I imagine there won't be a stock market either.

2. track management is not advanced at all; it cannot handle double tracks, you cannot create an X exchange, or create a split in a double track route. And no planning mode; you have to buy the tracks when you plan them or cancel and come back again when you have the money. not to mention it lags a lot to calculate cost.

3. Heaps of recurring unnecessary micro management. contracts require you to set it up (even if you already delivering that good to that city) and change again it when the contract finishes. you also have to manually restart a train line if it stops for any reason (like a liquidity shortage), and you have to manually schedule their maintenance.

Unless on a massive sale, you're really better off with other games (even going back to games that are 20 years older)

There's so much to like here, but a few major issues mean I can't recommend.

Firstly massive technical issues. I have an RX 6800, I can comfortably get 120 fps during most gameplay. Except when I'm placing rails and then it drops below 1 fps.

Secondly, you can't get rails to cross at-grade at all. If you want a 2 rail Y-junction, you just can't do it. You have to get all the rails to merge into a bottleneck if you want a Y-junction.

A more minor issue is there is no way to set train priorities, or set express tracks, or anything like that.

This did look like it scratched a lot of the Railroad Tycoon itch, and it does get so much right, but fumbles majorly in a few important ways.
