This game is unplayable for me.

I bought this game today. I am not new to VR and I have an awesome computer, one capable of running The Witcher 3 at the maximum settings. As I loaded this game up, I was so very excited, only to discover that it drops my framerate to level so choppy, I cannot play it. I restarted steamVR, restarted the game, same thing. I put the steamVR pop-up to the back, putting the game to the front (focus). Same thing. I have experienced this before, but it always fixed itself. I am in steamVR beta, however I currently am unable to remove myself from that option ( I willl continue trying), and I am about to re-install the game. I was looking forward to this game so much, that after the third time it didn't work I had to lie down and co=unt to ten. Please, someone, have a fix for this.

UPDATE: Re-installing was a fruitless endeavor. It increased my FPS only a little.

I would try reverting back out of steam beta. PEVR is a heavy game. Make sure you dont have anything else running besides what you need to run VR.

Thank you for the response, however, I just removed myself from a session of the game, and it (miraculously) worked. Thanks for the help, though!
