Case 6 possible bug?

I combined the miniatures with the fire map and put the characters all in place. However I cant progress because after I click go I cannot move the detective miniature into position to close the door and trap Geoff.
Has anyone else had this problem?

So, if you mean you cannot move them while Geoff is moving, you shouldn't be able to. The puzzle is in figuring out the way to use the pieces you have to create a path.

If, however, you mean that after a failed run you are unable to reconfigure you pieces for a second or subsequent run, that is an issue... Please let me know which situation you're in and I can tell you how to proceed.

To solve the puzzle, all the miniatures have to be in the correct position before you press GO. You can't move the miniatures while Geoff is moving. If you get it wrong, you get the chance to rearrange to miniature again.

I am having the same issue. I found a playthrough video because I couldn't figure it out. Every solution I have found shows the player moving the figurine from behind Geoff (while Geoff is in motion) to the workshop. The cursor changes from an arrow to a hand, and they are able to put the figurine in the workshop before Geoff gets there.

I am really stuck here. I am so confused.

No need to move anyone. Perhaps the walkthrough was from an earlier build. It doesn't really matter who goes where as long as you manage to get Geoff into the workshop. Try to place a character at each spot given below:
Next to Geoff (number 1 spot)
At the door of the Changing Room
At both ends of the blue dotted line (bottom of the screen. NOT at the doors themselves, select the two lowest placed dots)
At the doors of Class 1 and Class 2
At the door of the Gymnasium
In the Workshop (number 2 spot)
