Gennaker and Spinnaker

When do we have the possibility to go downwind with spinnaker and/or gennaker? I think this is the thing that is missing most in this simulation

I agree, downwind kind of kills me. I'd be perfectly happy with the ability to set a gin pole on the genoa to make wing and wing less of a hit or miss affair. But a true downwind sail would be even better.

Yes, even a gennaker would be good

... prod out out .. hoist gennaker from deck bag... furl gib ... same winch as gib to tune gennaker.

I agree. A gennaker would be much easier to model than a spinnaker with pole, uphaul, downhaul, etc unless the foredeck elf did a lot of it for you ...

For those of us who don't have a ton of experience with this type of sail, this would be a fantastic learning tool.

Also, any plans to introduce more marina docking scenarios and challenges? Same as above... this tends to be a weak point for inexperienced sailors so it would be great to see more of those.

Just working on multiplayer as I think the social side is important right now. Then will be back to the gennaker.. and will add to the experimental version first.

Agree that the priority is multi-boat feature
But when the gennaker comes up the feature list again
lookup this video on youtube "NorthSails - Gennaker and Snuffer instructions video"
No gennaker prod and uses a gennaker sock

Thanks Kiwi. That is exactly the route we are going. I will take a look at that video as it might give some extra information. I hope to have something to show in the experimental branch by end Sept.

I think March or April is likely for beta release.
