NEW Update 2.3.05

This new version 2.3.05 brings you these new features:

1. A fix to stop out of range data causing issues for all users in multiplayer mode.

2. A new steam ship (The Aurora) is running between Water Head Islands and Port Fogarty in Southern Shearwater Island. As this is a lot of water to cover when testing any sightings (or even better screenshots) would be much appreciated.

3. An ensign flag is now on the backstay. This helps to give an indication of wind direction. You can change the size and position of flag in Settings. (Or turn it off by making size zero).

4. You can now change the sleeve colours of both crew members in Settings.

5. On the chart you can now add extra lines. Also you can set the angle of the plotter (bottom left). This means at last you can properly plot your position using the hand compass.

Yes she does have lights. I would expect a steaming light to be on as I think she always uses the paddle wheels even sailing.

So I might have seen something else or some kind phantom ;-)

Aurora sighted today (31-Jan-2023) at 11 UTC, just half a mile east of the Water Head Island jetty.
Recent report at 11:50 UTC: 46 38.29'N 027 18.62'W, steaming SW-bound towards Shearwater Island, COG 240/230 Mag/True with SOG approx. 5.5 kts.

Position at 1200 UTC 46°32.26’N 027°38.49’W, course 230°(T), speed approx 5.2kts.

Position at 1300 UTC 46°28.84’N 027°34.15’W, course 230°(T), speed approx 5.2kts -- Shearwater in sight on the horizon!

Position at 1400 UTC 46°25.44’N 027°39.77’W, course 230°(T), speed approx 5.2kts

Position at 1500 UTC 46°22.01’N 027°45.71’W, course 230°(T), speed approx 5.2kts -- seagull was standing on GPS antenna so coordinates might be slightly out

Position at 1600 UTC 46°18.51’N 027°51.16’W, course 230°(T), speed approx 5.2kts

Position at 1700 UTC 46°15.17’N 027°56.68’W, course 230°(T), speed approx 5.2kts

Course change at 1722 UTC 46°13.85’N 027°58.86’W, course 275°(T), speed approx 5.5kts -- Aurora raised sails

Course change at 1734 UTC 46°14.08’N 028°00.26’W, turned to starboard towards Port Fogharty -- clicked chart table to record position, eSail crashed!! But the job is done, I reckon.

I am proceeding eastbound from Port Fogarty to meet her right now and have her already in sight... I am wondering what is her schedule, when does she leave Port Fogarty to Water Head Island.
PS. Just intercepted her, position on 18:05Z today: 46 14.27'N 027 58.22'W, COG 230T, SOG 5.2 kts

Update on 18:23 UTC: She stopped briefly at 46 14.07'N 028 00.21'W. Previously she was proceeding with COG 290T and SOG approx 5.2 kts. New COG 005T. SOG - no change. Funny fact: her wheels seems to turn in wrong direction (for astern).

Just entering Port Fogarty (at entry buoys) at 18:32 UTC. She slowed down to approx 3.5 kts.

Well, she left Port Hogarty (abeam harbour entry buoys) at 18:50 UTC*. She spent there less than 20 minutes (from entry to exit) and may be 10 minutes at the berth. It took her 8.5 hours to get to Port Fogarty from Water Head Island. She will be back at Water Head probably at 03:20 UTC*, to leave again to Shearwater at 10:00-11:00? UTC*? Or maybe just after another 20 minutes (like in Port Fogarty)? If the latter is the case we should be able to see her again in Port Fogarty tomorrow at 12:00 UTC or so...
(*) Multiplayer mode, interesting what happens to her in the Multiplayer+12h world...

Unfortunately I’m stuck on dry land for the next 24 hours, but I’m sure we can start to piece it together
