Report a translation problem
Dang, I just setup my Logitech G29 hoping it would work out well. While it technically works, it's acting like a gamepad analog stick (or joystick) with a deadzone in the center.
So, it's working like this;
Turning slightly left and right registers nothing (1 or 2 degrees)
After passing the deadzone, the wheel in game will start to turn, but it is not tied to the physical steering wheel itself. (Holding it in any position ahead of the deadzone will turn the wheel fully).
To stop turning, the wheel must be returned to center (It does not return the in game wheel center and it stays in place)
It's really funky trying to steer the boat this way. =P
It would be really great if we could get some proper 1:1 support for wheels (and even force feedback implementation, if possible!). Hopefully you can look into it.
Is it working in this way with your Thrustmaster wheel, or does that work properly?
Last time I tried it was completely unusable with a controller, but that was a year or so ago.
