Multiplayer is a lie! it's bots (Opinion)
First I though I was against noobie's or some kids who were making learning the ropes

Then guesses were being made that made no sense

In the last game I played, someone guessed the solution and it went on a few more rounds, I thought they must have one or two of the cards

But no after a second person guessed it, 2 more players had a go with the card showing the solution now filled in.

Free win for me and realisation that I'm playing bots in online multiplayer.

Very annoyed

I wonder. If true it is sad.

3 player seems a lot better, there are actually people using logic,
but after playing a silly amount of 6 player games I've seen too many misplays not to think so, shame cos it could be awesome

Let's not forget that during mid-late game, where most players should be close to the solution, it might be worth considering taking a gamble at a random guess (like if you have 2 possible suspects and 3 possible rooms). Keep in mind that at the end of your turn, if you don't try a final accusation, you need to wait everyone else to play before you, and one of them might have better info than you had, giving them an easier time for their final accusation.

So maybe that's why some players risk a final accusation a bit early (before being 100% sure). Because they aren't confident enough they will get another turn. Especially on
6-players games, where lot of info is gathered each turn.

I did that several times and I was right several times. But wrong also.

I would be fine with that,

I'm in a game right now
the answer is Plum, Award, Dressing Room

With everyone having revealed they don't have those cards

Orchid guessed her own card and 2 of those, revealing no new info to herselsf and not guessing

Now on the second round of guesses where I am just passing my go and still no accusations

Update, on 3rd round, plum guessed correctly, didn't make accusation, the game goes on

And now Orchid has made the same guess from earlier :D

Update 4, Plum has for a second time made a correct guess, and still no accusation, I need a life!

Last update, orchid guessed correctly, no accusation, uninstalling now,
real ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game design

I think it's pretty easy to see who's a bot and who's not.
Before you start a match, you see the other players names in the lobby. If these names don't appear during the match anymore, it's a bot.
I just played a match and there was only one name (in my case the player's name was "Michelle") I saw in the lobby before. The other players were all named as the character (Plum, Orchid, etc.) when it was their turn. No player name anymore, so obviously bots.

I hope not. It would take all the fun out of the game.

I totally agree. I also see no point in playing against / with bots.
Maybe there have always been bots (when needed, because there are not enough players for a full lobby) and it is just more obvious since the last update.

Is there a place on Steam where we can take the names of the other players that we play against and see if they are real and which country they are from?
Herbie Jan 22, 2023 @ 1:19am
As the game has crossplay - at least I think so - and the majority of the players probably are playing the mobile version on their smartphones, it might be rather difficult to track players.
These randomized names like "BluePanda123" don't necessarily have to be bots - I'm not sure if mobile players get these randomized names by default - but when these names don't reoccur during a match, I have the strong feeling there are bots in the match.
I paid close attention yesterday and when there is another player you usually see a text like "Herbie is showing a card to Mandy" / "Mandy says it was Plum with the knife in the hall" and not "Plum is showing a card to Orchid" / "Orchid says it was Plum with the knife in the hall".
The player base on PC has always been low according to Steam Charts, but I think there are definitely real players you are playing against. The game seems to prefer to get you into a match within a minute, so instead of waiting for more players to join, it fills the left slots in the lobby with bots. Whereby, I must emphasize that I can only assume all this. Only the developers of the game could make a clear statement.
