In the 'Friends Activities' area, I posted pics. of the players, the winner and most importantly, the time at the end of the game. Thank-you again for your help. Have a great week.
What was the longest you had to wait for someone else to take their turn? We do have timers for each phase of the game, and some of them are quite long - e.g. after someone has made a suggestion, there is a timer of 40 seconds to allow everyone time to make their notes.
If you actually managed to finish this game, then it could just be that the long timers felt too long to you. (We are playing around with different timer lengths internally - it's a balancing act).
However, if you were waiting for over a minute for any phase, that shouldn't be.
In single games. No trouble whatsoever with freeze up, lags or glitches of any kind. Even when I choose the Scarlett characters from the base or Classic Theme Bundle.
I ended up havng to quit the multi games, with the exception of the last two games I posted. Though with freeze up, we were able to complete the two games.
The first time it resolved in 5 minutes.
The second time (right now), it's 15 minutes and counting.
Game is frozen, animations and sounds are still playing but there's no button prompt to continue.
Yes, the animations and sounds still play as the snow flies outside and steam from the sauna fills the air in 'Snowy Peaks Lodge'!
The waiting around for someone to make a move. You start to think it's your computer or something like that. Or the game just freezes up and you have to re-boot the computer...(Love that)!
It's still happening to me, but not as badly as it has been. No more freeze-ups...YAY! And the waiting around is a little better. There is still definitely room for improvement though. It should never take FOREVER for a player to make a move. The 'Suspect Sheet' does automatically update itself. I use to LOVE on-line gameplay and was always in the top 10. But now, because of the waiting around, I usually just play offline. Rarely going online.
Also, I have the Season Pass. I am still see the ad for 'Season Pass' in-game everytime I go into the game. I just ignore it.
Happens on all locations, any amount of players (3-5 is what we've done so far). It completely stops responding even though everyone hit continue.
Really frustrating since we've only been able to complete one or two games since I bought it in December. We end up just guessing when it crashes and playing without it essentially...
Lately the game has been working fine for me on Solo. Absolutely no freeze- ups in every location no matter how many AI players I have chosen.
I haven't tried playing an online game with other players or opened up a Friend Quest game in a very long time because of the constant freeze-ups.
Every time I try to play online with other players or with friends, the game runs fine for about 5 or 10 minutes. Then freezes up. Leaving the music playing and the screen animation, (like snow falling or steam rising up) still running perfectly.
Other sounds, (like plates rattling and fireplaces cracking) also continue to run smoothly while you are stuck in Virtual Limbo.
I do have one 'Heavy' game file downloaded. But one heavy game file on top of Clue/Cluedo shouldn't cause this type of constant game freeze-ups and/or crashes as it does when trying to play online with other players.
We are gamers. And as gamers, we have GPU's (Graphic Cards) that can handle more than one heavy game file on top of Clue/Cluedo!
I'm not a computer tech expert. Just a BIG TIME gamer. To me, this sounds like a Game Engine thing that kicks in whenever trying to play an online game with other players.
With the online players, that's the only time the game will freeze up and/or crash...No matter how many are there playing the game.
"Thank you for getting in touch with us!
I am really sorry that this is negatively affecting your gaming experience, but please note that our team is currently preparing a big update with multiplayer stability fixes which will be released this month.
Please be on the lookout for this upcoming update and if anything else comes up, please feel free to follow up with me!"
Like the old expression, "Check's in the mail."
This is the same exact response I got in November. Looks like I'll be playing solo if I ever want to play Clue!
That's really annoying if they don't launch an update when they say they will....
