Achievements? Scores?

I just bought this game and I'm feeling like I've been conned!

Firstly, why does the game list 11 achievements, but I now discover that there are currently no achievements in the game? Just a minor point, but not made at all clear on the Store page.

Secondly, the silver/gold scores seem to mean nothing at the moment. I gather from the other posts that this may be because the hint system has been temporarily removed, but it does dampen the impetus to play somewhat.

For what it's worth, the hint system should never have been introduced in the first place (though I understand this was originally a freemium game). For Clue/Cluedo, the kind of hints on offer aren't pay-to-win, they're pay-to-cheat. The whole point of Clue/Cluedo is to use logic and deduction - skill plays the largest part, with the luck of draws/dice only slightly modifying the challenge.

All I need to make me happy with this game is no hints, meaningful scores/progression, some sensible achievements, the ability to disable automatic note-taking, and the many more themes, gameplay modes and characters that have kept this game fresh over the last 70 years.

yeah the adding in totally empty achievements is kind of ridiculous, i dont know why they bothered if they werent finished. just dont put in something thats impossible to get, that should be obvious

Achievements are a work-in-progress - ideally this would all be hidden from view, but unfortunately the Steam Store does not allow any way to hide achievements. I'm sorry that you've felt misled, but this is the only way we can add achievements now.

The final score you receive after a game contributes towards leaderboard points. The leaderboards are reset weekly.

Perhaps conned was the wrong word - I felt more disappointed than misled, because the game is great!

In any case, thanks for answering me. Not many developers even do that anymore and it's clear from the upcoming hint changes that you're listening - much appreciated!

This makes sense I've been trying to reset the achivements for this game for a while now, but after seeing this post it seems to be impossible thanks.
