Unable to play with friends

So my friends just bought the season pass so they could get all the boards, and we tried several times to set up a server, and when we get into the game, it loads, the wheels spins, it chooses someone to start, and then we have to wait for a long time. Then every single time it eventually says someone left the game and everyone gets replaced by AI's. We can't seem to make a private game anymore. Does anyone else have this issue and if so, do you have any idea how to fix it?

For the online multiplayer issue we have included a fix in the new version, which we'll release together with the new theme soon. Apologies for the inconvenience.

If you should have issues with the local multiplayer and companion app, please send us a message to [e-mail]. Include all relevant information, i.e. device, internet connection status, game mode, how many players etc. as this helps us greatly.

Same problems, still broken countless months after. Ridiculous. Will not spend another penny on this game. Possibly around jittery WIFI connections, but if that's the case this game can't handle the slightest of network hiccups which is not realistic from a practical perspective.

Just purchased the game with the season pass specifically to play on-line with my friends. But, the local host game will not launch even after all players have connected via the Clue Companion app? Will be requesting a full refund from Steam ASAP.

Still broken, I fear it is abandoned by the developers. The online crashes all the time and lobbying with friends never loads any of them.

Another connection? How many connections do you have in your home?
I tried with 3 people, we all have fiber... we couldn't even start one game in 2 hours.

Worked perfectly fine playing with my fiancee on the same network before I bought the season pass. How does using a simple re-skin completely break the game?
