No, not about the book.
It's not IP theft before the self appointed game lawyers chime in.

I can't comment on the game but I can tell you that Tommyknockers is not owned by Stephen King, by Penguin/Random House, or any film studio. The term is mostly an old American mining word attributed to Leprechaun like tricksters who warn miners of imminent mine collapses, by knocking.

Of course when tools would go missing the Irish/Cornish/Welsh immigrant miners would claim that the Tommyknockers(also Knockers) did it. In truth it was common theft or negligence by exhausted and often drunk miners. Up until the 1940s some mines would leave offerings to the Knockers to appease old timers. Cheap insurance if you will.

Good luck to the developer. May any name recognition provide you with an edge in this hyper competitive market.

Haha, thank you! I certainly could use any edge in this market for sure. It's funny how many people have already asked about the connection to Stephen King just since our release 24 hrs ago.

It's much more likely to get some attention by press and YouTubers, etc. Do what you can to get people streaming it. A lot of gamers get their game discovery through streams now since the Steam store is such a (bleep) show currently. Good luck! I know VERY well just how hard it is. As a veteran game developer and industry consultant just be sure you don't over invest in the game. Low numbers don't get higher after the first 90 days. They slowly trickle down over the next 18 months. Good luck, this is a promising release!
