CAN'T CAPTURE WITH OBS

we can't stream the game if we can't capture it. game does not seem to allow capture with game capture while in fullscreen, nor does it support borderless windowed mode.

Please help :(

Note: Playing in 900p windowed mode, or using display capture to run things at 30 or even 20fps is not a answer.

I can confirm this too that Game Capture doesn't work with this game. This is all I see on the logfile so far so this must be on the game's end. Could it be because it's a DX9 game on Unreal 4?

EDIT: Seems this game runs on Unreal 3, not 4, based on the file format (which this game uses the .upk format, where Unreal 4 has a WindowsNoEditor folder and uses .pak format).

the bigest thing holding this back from free PR is being unable to stream the game. and windowed mode doesn't just run worse, but it refuses to be in real 1080p, it goes to like 900p or something.

i realize the stuttering and JP store front will probibly recieve priority tho, but this would be.... really nice to fix sooner rather then later.

Monitor capture worked just fine for me in OBS. Game capture and Window capture do not work though.

I used Window capture on my OBS just fine. Was streaming it today.

Same here, Game capture did not work, but Window capture had no issue on latest 64 bit OBS

moniter capture works "just fine" for nobody because it cuts your FPS in half on OBS.

these people, including myself, have to stream at about 900P windowed, where its worse quality, and the game lags more.

you mean not just fine. the game doesn't even OFFER borderless windowed, you can'w window capture it in fullscreen mode, and the game doesn't even offer actual windowed 1080p. what you streamed was a worse quality, and laggier experience, then if the game was in full screen.

the game itself does not support borderless fullscreen, so it's not possible to use withdow capture to play in 1080p only about 900p

i did, they all said it does not work, and you have to settle for lower quality untill hopefully a patch.

Instead of logs you can include screenshots of errors or just an explanation

I had the same issue, but try disabling the anti cheat compatibility hook, as that has now allowed me to capture in fullscreen

i can't say i've ever tried doing such a thing. how uh, would i go about doing this?

@GungHo there isn't any errors per say, its just a black screen, but allright.

Right click game capture in obs once you have that set up, and in the properties there's a check box that says anti-cheat compatibility hook. I unchecked that box, and the game captures now. I guess I should also mention I'm using Streamlabs OBS, but the option in standard OBS should be the same
