How long before Jackals spawn?
I've only had a Jackal appear on me once, at floor 11 when I was still inching around unconfidently. Even at my rather plodding pace, the soft time limit seems lenient, but it still makes me paranoid if I have to step away for a moment.

PS. The guy's level 200. Realistically, how long will it be before I take him? I figure it's probably not feasible with tier 2 fighters. :P

Be prepared or don't fight. Like seriously, if you think 5 star fighters with 4 star equipment can do it... no. Usually, you pretty much kiss the floor immediately.

About 8 minutes, I think

In a couple of posts I have seen people say that they won't spawn if enemies are left on the level and then after that it is still a long delay.

As for fighting them, even the best fighters will have trouble if they don't have particularly good gear or use a lot of edge giving mushrooms.

Good to know. Thank you all for your input.

Have their spawn mechanics been altered since launch? I recall once on PS4 killing the lone hater on a Shop Floor, and then the Jackal Spawning like a second later, so I always assumed the time was random. And doing additional research claimed that while the Jacakls are apparently on a countdown timer once all enemies are dead, it doesn't reset until a Jackal spawns. Has that changed?

they seem to take longer to spawn on the lowest levels. Took about 20+ minutes on floor one for me and only a few minutes on the top floors

The same happened to me, i killed the boss (?) on floor 11 (that weird spewing man-maggot-thing) and i was looking for more loot, got a few blueprints and suddenly the alarm rings "deheck was this?" And a level 200 yoyo girl appeared.
Ofc i made a run for it to the elevator, but she kept teleporting and one shot me :)

Death was imminent! :happyBUD:

Elevator is a bad idea, you can't interact with it when an enemy is nearby, you HAVE to use the escalator.

Only had them appear once for me. I was on Floor 19 with a tier 5 so I figured I might as well see how tough they are, since the revive cost is pretty trivial at that level. Anyway, Yoyo girl who appeared first seemed mostly harmless. Too slow and predictable, so not really much of a threat, I don't even think she could one-shot me. Problem is she had ludicrous amounts of defense and HP, so the the resource cost wouldn't be worth it and the gunner shows up long before I finish. He couldn't 1-shot me either so that's good, but I couldn't avoid his attacks AT ALL, so that ended pretty quickly.

Thankfully, I've never run into the Jackals at all. I usually only idle in the waiting room, or while taking an escalator between floors, so that might help.
