was fighting some ships got a message asking for him to bail....... no sign of him no waypoint marker to pick him up no marker on the map showing his location.

Lost forever, I assume. The game really needs a way to target cargo/passengers on the right menu. Once you lose sight of something, it's pretty much lost forever. No quest markers will point you to the ejectee either.

just like in real space, if you get knocked out of your vheical and dont get picked up right away its almost imposable to find you, he is lsot to the void, reload a save and try to kill his ship last

we have homing beacons now irl... and GPS tracking that logs positions. and you saying that advanced interstellar space faring lifeforms would not be intelligent enough to make this type of thing ?
