A way to see more servers?

I dont have very strict filters on my server list, yet I see a small amount of servers, especially low ping. A maximum of 2 Sabotage servers and 4 Domination servers show up, maybe 8-9 S&D. Is there a trick to getting more servers to show up because I'd love to try some!

Check your filters. There's at least 4000+

The only things I filter for are to not see empty, full, or passworded servers and I get these results. Is there 4000+ populated servers?

EDIT: I downloaded Xfire and used their server list, most of the servers I saw had large pings. I'm thinking something could be wrong with a file because I hear the player base is huge but I barely get to scratch at it. Halp plz.

Remove filters. Enable punkbuster.

Punkbuster is enabled, seems pointless to show servers that are empty, full or passworded but I'll give it a try.

Bump, I bought the game for a friend a week ago and he and I tried playing today, we both have version 1.7.568 and yet he can see servers I cant, and vice versa. It also wouldnt let us join eachothers games and it told me he wasnt in a server when I clicked game info.

Switched to internet? Instead of lan? In the server list.
Look at each filter, each setting.
Somewhere is the source of your problem.

Yes it's on internet. I overwrote the servercache.dat with another users as seen on the hep guide, and that gave me more servers but the friend and I still cant play. Oh well.

Strange. If both of you are on pc, it should work.
I get thousands of servers.

I'd say use Xfire, that's what I do now and it lets me connect to servers the regular browser times me out on as well.

yes xfire is great. also find servers you like and add them to favorites.

if you get into a server you can get the ip for the server by holding down tab. and then send it to your friend and he can open the console which is at the main menu the tilde key (`). and then he can type /connect ip and enter and it will make him join the server you are in.

I think i know what your problem is(maybe to late :/ ), you may have 1.6 and your friend 1.7. Search on google for cod4 1.7 and you can update.
