Can I remove PunkBuster?
I only play single player and want to use a trainer so is the steam version 1.7 and can I remove punkbuster or does it not operate when you select single player. I have nerve damage and so my hand control is a bit dodgy so I like a god mode because othewise I just die all the time but I like the games for the story. Please help.

Yeah you can remove it. In fact you even even play online without it, just you can only play on non-PB serversr. PunkBuster is useless anyway.

You can uninstall it fine.

Do you know of any trainers that work with steam? I found a couple but both crash cod out on initiation.

I don't. Trainers are considered cheats and they can get you a VAC / PunkBuster ban.

yeah this game seems to have issues with the steam version from what i hear. i own the cd version.

as far as steam goes they will only ban you if the game itself does not allow something. they cant ban you if the game allows it. cod4 was a game that allowed it. servers when owned dont. the clan i am in for instance, will ban you if you cheat.

just like a lot of games now consider mods cheats. this game did not. some games now consider it a cheat if you mess with your game files to change graphics settings that you cant do within the game.

punkbuster may kick you for cheats, but they are not that good. and not been updated for a while. most of the time the server that uses punkbuster finds the cheater, bans them and sends info to punkbuster. they look it over and if they do infact consider you cheating they then add you to there list for being banned, and then updated that list with all the servers that run punkbuster, and now your info is on all of there servers and you are now banned from all punkbuster servers.

Nope. Steam version is fine. As for PunkBuster kicking you for using the Steam Overlay - Don't use PunkBuster. Useless anyway.

Back to the nub of the question then as I have deleted pb as I only play single player does anyone know of a working god mode trainer which doesn't crash the game?

HELP ME!! I bought COD4 through Steam. Almost all COD4 servers that try to enter the map is loaded and then the following message appears: "Notice: Server Disconnected" HELP ME PLEASE!! (Sorry for my bad English, I'm from Brazil)

you want god mode? i believe you can open console and type it in. there are cheats with it. console you have to enable and then hit your tilde key. ` key that is. usually above tab.

Thanks although I do like a trainer i just have to press one button rather than typing which I am very slow with due to my problem, i find i die whilst typing.
