how do i make a cod4 server?

hey i've looked at a few videos but it doesn't work. I just want to make a server that me and my mates can play mike myers or a promod match?

when you start it up. you can click to set up your own game. from there you can pick either lan, or internet.

how do my friends then join when i click internet?

set a name for the game. they can then search for the game. also you can get xfire and them too. and when you are in a server they can click to join the server your in.

not sure. most ppl just buy a server. problem with running your own is either you have to be on so as soon as you leave the server goes away. and also it now becomes a p2p server.

Host a cod4 server using gameranger and choose a name etc pw it and let your m8s know, you'll all need to use gameranger but it works.

I've done it plenty of times.

Gameranger is a program similar to hamaci and other network programs.

nice did not know that. is it free to use? i know you can also use gameservers and pay for slots. and it makes it dedicated so the server is always up.
