Why Does NO ONE Use Voice Chat?
I can't understand how when I was playing consoles there were so many idiots on there just randomly spouting ♥♥♥♥ until you find a decent crew of buddies. Now that I have a good PC and can actually run these games everyone shuns the voice chat on this damned game! Why the hell does no one ever speak in this game? PC gamers are supposed to be the 'premiere' gaming community that are always ahead of the curve, but lo' and behold - NO ONE LIKES VOICE CHAT?!

No matter what server I join, no matter what mode I'm playing, all these idiots just completely ignore the voice chat button and pretty much tell me to GFMS! Even on S&D! Are you kidding me?!

Sorry for the rant, I just had to get that off my chest.

If anyone knows of a clan or server that plays S&D a lot and want a new recruit, please let me know because I'm getting frustrated as hell just sitting here typing messages to people to try and help the team and I just get ignored. I assume 90% of PC gameras have a mic'd headset, so why the hell aren't they using them? Blows my mind.....>.>

There's really no need. Not everyone has a mic on here. Play with friends if you want to voice chat.

how do you find friends with mics when no one uses them though? It's a paradox! lol, seriously though, how do I find people that use mics? I looked everywhere on steam forums and there isn't really a thread for people recruiting for people with mics..

Clans usually have them.

Look around.

brilliant... thanks for the advice
Yeah I think clans are the only group that would use mics for this game, I think it's just too anonymous for teamspeak to really come into play. I've always laughed at Evesdrop perk. For better or worse, this isn't Counter-Strike. And as far as clans go for this game, I really don't know of any...this game may just be too old for many clans to be interested in. Hope this helps :/

Yeah I supspected that, just helps compound it a little more by hearing it from someone who has been playing for a while. I played a lot and was in a comp clan on PS3 so I was kinda hoping it would still be alive on PC too. Guess I wasted my money tho cuz its boring as hell with no mics. just a camp fest. Shoulda just bought Counter Strike GO I guess.. Sucks

Well, the xbox 360 -- it came with a microphone, which is probably why there seem to be more talkers. If i remember, PS3 had alot less people using the mic probably for the same reasons (didn't come with a microphone).

But right now (years after it was released) most groups/clans are probably playing newer releases.

same i usually play cod alone because of it.

it would be good to play with mics on for a change, at least the gamers on cod on pc should be a bit more mature than the console lot. i usually play on the same three or four servers and none of them ever usues a mic. which can be nice, as you don't get all the screaming and dummy chucking you get on online console games. On the flip side some organization of ranks would be good, i don't know maybe something like 1 commander each side with squad leaders and a choice between talking to your whole team or the members of your squad. If only someone would do something like that.

some gametypes most players do use a mic. like freezetag. other times most clans just use teamspeak or ventrillo or whatever other voice thing is out there.
