Alternative working method to connect to a CoD4 server

Steam version only:

You can launch Steams CoD4 and connect to a server directly. Follow these steps..

Goto Library > Games > Right Click "Call of Duty 4" game
Click Properties then click "Set Launch Options"
In Launch options box enter +connect 104.153.104.204:28961
click 'OK" and then "Close"
Launch multiplayer and enjoy the experience!

Retail version only:

Create a shortcut on your desktop to CoD4 MP
Right click COD4 icon and select Properties.
At the end of the Target Line add +connect 104.153.104.204:28961
Click Apply and then click OK
Launch multiplayer and enjoy the experience!

NOTE: This method will work for any CoD4 server online. Downside is you can only connect to one server at a time. You can create a separate desktop icon for each server if you like, but your Desktop may get cluttered quickly. If you have that one favorite COD4 server though, this is a great way to quickly and easily get setup and play on your favorite server.
