COD4 New Download - No servers & can't find COD4 in Punkbuster

I just downloaded COD4 and couldn't figure out why there where no servers listed in multiplayer. I did 2 things to get it working.

1) Did what this guy said https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T57GbKkpYTg

- Careful with the download it is there but there are some tricky popups that try to get you to download a .exe file - don't do it! you want the RAR file (CODPBFiles2014.RAR).

- get the newest PB setup - http://www.punkbuster.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php

- make sure you have the "pbsvc.exe" file and run that (I forget where I got it)

- you don't have to add COD4 into the PB list

2) Do what this guy said https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tA-VbSWYuFg

- download and copy the "servercache.dat" file into the COD4 folder replacing the existing file (this is what made all the servers appear for me)

- start the multiplayer game and it should be good

I went back into the game and all the servers where gone!!!! So I exited the game then copied the "servercache.dat" file that I downloaded earlier back into the COD4 directory and went back to multiplayer and servers where back showing again.

Looks like I'll have to do this every time. :(

This is stupid! after each game I have to replace the "servercache.dat" file.

Added all the low ping servers to my favorite and I can get them to appear every time even if nothing shows in the "INTERNET" search for servers

So in other words, you realized you have to do exactly what we have told you, you have to do, about 100 or so times now? Congrats on the fact it finally sank in for you. You could easily have saved yourself a tremendous amount of time and frustration, if you had searched thru these forums as has been stated at least 100 times now.

All this info has already been stated countless times, but I am glad to see you finally got it to work for you. Now, you have your favorites list, go enjoy the game. :-)
