AC-130 Gun Camera Completely Whited Out?

I have this glitch where the thermal monitor in the AC-130 mission is pretty much completely white with a static-like effect on screen. This also happens when I use the thermal scope in MW2
The strangest part of it all, is that pressing F12 very briefly fixes the screen. Constant pressing of it however crashes the game.

I looked it up on Google, and there is literally nobody who is having the same problem. I wanted to do another playthrough of the MW campaigns, but thermal-only segments are keeping me from proceeding.

Does anybody know why this could be happening, or know of any fixes to this glitch? Any assistance I get is greatly appreciated.

Oh, and let me know if you need screenshots of the glitch. I haven't taken any yet, but I'll do so if needed.

Nonono, I'm not talking about white-hot and black-hot vision. The screen is nearly nothing but white with a static effect, and I can only see like 5% of the environment because of it.

Tried it. Nothing.

One thing that did work (with the thermal scope in Mw2 campaign) is holding down tab while using the scope. Holding tab darkens the screen and show you the objectives and radar. Other than that, nothing else seems to work.

You mentioned darkening the screen, did you try simply lowering the brightness? Messing with monitor settings?

Lowering the brightness was the first thing I tried. My monitor settings have nothing to do with the problem, because everything else in-game looks completely fine. The thermal monitors and scopes are the only things that don't work.

I took a few other screenshots which were a bit clearer, because F12 (for reasons unknown) cleans the screen up for like half a second. What could possibly be the reason for something like this? Makes no sense.

This looks like a game glitch, because that static screen only shows up when the AC130 has been destroyed. However, this isn't possible in COD4 with the AC130.

It is pretty odd. Tried restarting the level?

I'm experiencing the same problem. This happens with any thermal.
Please tell me there's a solution for this.

Sorry dude, but I don't remember how I fixed it. As far as I know, it just started working after awhile. Maybe try reinstalling?
