IW3MP.EXE has stopped working (windows 10)

so i recently updated to windows 10 and SP starts up fine, but MP just crashes when trying to switch. I heard plugging in my mic works?

Enable stereo mix? Works for Windows 8, not sure about 10.

Enable the stereo mix by going to Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, Sound, and then recording, make sure stereo mix is enabled, and if your CoD4 is on Steam then I would verify the game cache:

Yes plugging in mic works, also does enabling stereo mix. You could also install Cod4X which actually fixes the problem and does a lot more too.

well the steroe mix doesn't seem to work for me, I've no bright ideas anymore, since i use an usb headset plugging in a mic doesn't wrk either. I use windows 10

Install Cod4 X. I told it in my first comment here but it got censored for some stupid reasons. It fixes the problem and does some other cool things, look it up.
